Walker in Babylon is a musical immersion experience, combining a dance club atmosphere, electronic pop beats, and constant multimedia stimulation to engage audiences in an epic story of a society obsessed with instant connection. Walker in Babylon organically infuses live entertainment with the technological and media stimuli that have become an inextricable part of the consumer’s daily life. It offers multimedia as an integral part of a communal, social experience unlike any chat room or theatrical show ever encountered.

Utilizing the tried-and-true blueprint of setting an engaging love story to unforgettably beautiful music, Walker in Babylon contains elements of a classic Broadway Musical. However, it breaks new ground with its use of an exclusively electronic pop score to create an experience that brings the stage to the dance floor for a music/theatre experience that will make you want to get up and watch.

The Walker in Babylon property seeks to parlay its themes, story, and unique performance atmosphere into a cohesive product, mounting successful commercial runs throughout the world, continuing in Los Angeles.

 
Walker in Babylon received its first workshop at The 45th Street Theatre in the Summer, 2009.  An Equity Reading for industry professionals took place on March 19th, 2010 in Manhattan's Monkey Space.  It featured a new book by Jimmy Ray Bennett, and the cast included David Larsen, Donell James Foreman, Celisse Henderson, Asmeret Ghebremichael, Caissie Levy, Blake Whyte, and Jared Gertner.  A concert of the show's music took place on Jaunary 17th, 2011 at Show at Barre.  Martian Entertainment continues to General Manage.
